as the idm-l administrator, one of my responsibilities is to
remove people from the list who are being abusive and
are blatantly disregarding the extremely easy to understand
policies of the list. the idm-l was set up as a forum for
*discussion* of idm-related music. not for illegal mp3/tape/
cdr/software trading, and CERTAINLY not for racist,
sexist, and homophobic discussions. i have yet to kick
anyone off of the list, although i am certainly not beyond
doing just that if these types of posts continue. the list has
been a wonderful resource, gone to shit, and then come back
several times during my 5-6 year subscription. we're due
for a comeback any day now. please, let's keep the discussions
on topic, useful, and most of all, free from abusive language
and name calling. if you have any problems with what i
have just said, please email me privately.
secondly, if people are indeed having difficulties subbing/
unsubbing from the list, please email me privately as well.
